Confronting the candidates and elected officials with the depth of your convinction and the strenght of your passion.

Problematisch wordt hier:

My generation started asking older people: “Explain to me again why it is OK to discriminate against people just because their skin color is diffferent?” And when they really couldn’t answer that question with integrity, the change really started.

Lees deel 1deel 2 van Walter Russel Mead’s artikel over “The failure of Al Gore”. When he couldn’t answer that question with integrity, the change really started.

It is no more difficult, then it was to talk to southeners about the evil of racism.

It’s the same (als het debat tegen racisme) where the moral component is concerned.

Kortom: Al Gore doesn’t give a damn about the science.

The climate crisis offers us the chance to experience what few generations in history have had the privilege of experiencing: a generational mission; a compelling moral purpose; a shared cause; and the thrill of being forced by circumstances to put aside the pettiness and conflict of politics and to embrace a genuine moral and spiritual challenge.

Almost all generations in history have had the privilege of experiencing: a generational mission; a compelling moral purpose; a shared cause; and the thrill of being forced by circumstances to put aside the pettiness and conflict of politics and to embrace a genuine moral and spiritual challenge. We spoilt post-WWII, vietnam-delusioned, post trip to the moon, post-cold-war, only left with stupid space shuttles and petty war on terror pour souls are completely lacking this moral pupose and therefore we have invented the climate crisis.

En het leuke is dat juist wij sceptici dankzij de alarmisten het genoegen smaken van een a generational mission; a compelling moral purpose.
