Leading astrophysicist Kees de Jager is progressively toning down his warming scepticism. From predicting a Grand Minimum he backed down a few years ago to talking about a Dalton-like mini-ice age. In his very recent publication that is pretty much ripped at WUWT he now talks about slowed warming since 2007. To me it becomes more and more clear that there is only one thing that will resolve many remaining scientific disputes and that is more time and more data. We can all do sophistry till we drop but we’d better wait another 5 years and then decide where climate is heading and what possible remaining role there is for CO2 as a factor.

Mike Lockwood of Reading University is still hell bent on a mini ice age.  Above his recent appearance on BBC’s Inside out. Personally I am in the Dalton-minimum camp. Wait and see.
